This Privacy Policy explains how eTempMail (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use https://etempmail.net and related services, including free temporary email and paid Temp Mail Pro features.
By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
eTempMail provides disposable / temporary email addresses and related tools so you can receive messages without using your personal inbox. Paid plans (Temp Mail Pro) are billed by eTempMail when you subscribe through our website.
Contact: [email protected] or our Contact us page.
2. How we protect your details
We treat the details involved in using eTempMail — including temporary addresses, messages you receive, and related technical data — as confidential and use them only to run and protect the Service. We do not sell this information or use temporary mailboxes to build marketing profiles about you.
For everyday free temp mail use, we do not keep your IP address as part of your mailbox or turn it into a lasting personal record. That helps reduce the risk of your browsing being tied back to a disposable inbox in a way that could put your privacy at risk.
Emails and other data held temporarily on our service are permanently removed when their retention period ends. You can also delete a temporary email address yourself at any time with the delete control on the home page / mailbox screen.
3. Information we collect
We aim to collect only what we need to provide and secure the Service.
3.1 Temporary email data
When you use a free or paid temporary mailbox, we process:
- the temporary email address you generate or choose;
- messages delivered to that address (headers, subject, body, and attachments as received);
- related mailbox activity needed to show, refresh, or delete those messages.
Temporary mailboxes are designed for short-term use. Messages and addresses are removed according to the retention rules of the product you are using (for example, time-limited free inboxes or Pro plan limits). Do not use temporary email for sensitive personal information you need to keep permanently.
3.2 Account information (registered users)
If you create an account, we may collect your name, email address, password (stored in hashed form), and account preferences needed to sign you in and manage your Pro subscription or dashboard.
3.3 Contact form
If you contact us, we collect the name, email address, subject, and message you submit so we can respond.
3.4 Payments
If you buy a paid plan, we process the information needed to complete checkout and manage your subscription. That may include billing identity (such as name and email), plan selection, payment status, and receipt or invoice references. Payment details (such as card or wallet information) are handled by our payment processor and are not stored as full card numbers on our servers.
3.5 Server logs and technical data
Like most websites, our servers use log files to keep the site healthy. Those logs may include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring or exit pages, platform type, date and time, and basic activity counts. We use this information in aggregate to spot trends, administer the site, understand how people move through pages, and protect against abuse.
These technical logs are not used as a personal advertising profile, and IP addresses in logs are not linked to a named identity or sold as personally identifiable information. Where IP data appears in short-lived operational or security context, it is not stored as part of your temporary mailbox record (see section 2).
3.6 Cookies
We use cookies and similar storage that are needed for the Service to work, for example:
- session / authentication cookies for logged-in users;
- preferences such as language or cookie notice acknowledgement;
- security and abuse-prevention related storage.
You can control cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the Service from working.
4. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- provide temporary email and Pro features;
- create and manage accounts and subscriptions;
- process support requests;
- prevent spam, fraud, abuse, and automated misuse;
- maintain security, logs, and service performance;
- comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Sharing of information
We may share information only as needed with:
- Payment processors — to take payment, issue receipts, and manage subscription billing;
- Hosting, email delivery, and infrastructure providers — to run the website and deliver transactional or support email;
- Authorities — when required by law or a valid legal request;
- Professional advisors — such as legal or accounting advisors under confidentiality, when needed.
Temporary mailbox contents are shown to whoever has access to that temporary address. Anyone who knows or can open the address may view messages in it. Treat temporary inboxes as public for privacy purposes.
6. Retention
- Temporary emails and messages: kept only as long as the selected inbox / plan rules allow, then permanently deleted or overwritten as part of normal operation. You may delete a temporary address earlier using the delete button on the home page.
- Account data: kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward if needed for security, disputes, or legal compliance.
- Support messages: kept as long as needed to handle your request and for related records.
- Billing records: we keep subscription and payment status records needed to provide Pro access, handle refunds, and meet accounting or legal requirements.
- Logs: kept for a limited time for security and operations, unless a longer period is required for investigations or law.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No internet service is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping account credentials confidential and for what you choose to send to a temporary inbox.
8. Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
9. International processing
Information may be processed on servers in countries other than where you live. Where we transfer personal data, we take steps appropriate to the circumstances and applicable law.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal data, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, email [email protected].
For free temporary mailboxes, the fastest way to remove an address and its messages is usually the delete control on the home page.
11. Third-party links
The Service may link to third-party sites (including payment pages and API marketplaces). Their privacy practices are their own. Review their policies before providing them information.
12. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.
